Works well, pairs with easy Chairgun elite ballistic app. I removed the cover and used a hole punch adjacent to the on/off button that illuminates the…. “You cannot see the light through the cover unless you do this”

This works with Geoballistics as well as Hornady 4DOF ballistic calculators.
Took this for a test drive this passed weekend and I only have one complaint. That complaint is with Geoballistics more so than the device. Having to take a sample of the environmentals is for it to be used in a firing solution is not necessary if you ask me. Hornady on the other hand, it live updates continuously as the environmentals change.
You will not be disappointed whatsoever if you go this route over a Kestrel. Besides saving about $600ish will ways works for me! Buy with confidence.
Arrive sooner than expected. That's a plus! First use, took a minute, but once I logged on to the site and read the instructions, it was very easy to use; tempest app is very user-friendly. We'll see whether or not the five star rating lasts once I take it into the field.
I used this with the Hornady 4DOF app and it connected and worked flawlessly. This gave a noticeable advantage in wind calls for shooting out to 1,000 yards. Highly recommended since it is 1/5th the cost of a Kestrel!
