This was the easiest set up of any device I have ever purchased. Hopefully it will report the weather directly to my favorite TV station
I've owned the previous model of the Tempest weather station for a number of years. I've always really liked the weather it provided at our rural property.
Recently the rain sensor unit has been going offline periodically. Turns out the solar panel / rechargeable battery is no longer holding enough charge to power the unit.
I contacted support and found that my unit is no longer supported. Instead, they offered me an upgrade deal on a new system.
Easy setup and is very familiar after owning the old one.
Very dependable and reliable system. Very easy set up and no moving parts! Station is very subtle and blends in well. Highly recommend if you want a reliable device that just works…a lot of neat data it collects and stores. Must have!
I really appreciate the simplicity of this device. It’s perfect for apartment dwellers as well as home owners. I did have to play with moving the control box around to best get a signal but it wasn’t too hard. I look forward to the California rainy season to see how that part (rain accumulation) works!
Station barometric sensor failed. Our weather (Florida) has been pretty brutal the last year with two hurricanes so I wasn’t too surprised. Kristel was an enormous help in getting me a new station (discounted) AND helping me get my data restored. Back up and running again thanks to the wonderful folks at Tempest Support!!
