Great Weather System! Has everything you need to track weather conditions. The Tempest Weather System also integrates with other devices too.

This is my second Tempest Weather System. The first Tempest Weather System failed. I didn’t quite get three years out of it. Weatherflow was able to offer a replacement at a discounted price. Hopefully this one lasts longer than the previous one.

Beyond Impressed with this system after 3 years

I've owned the tempest for over 3 years now. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. I don't normally write reviews but I must say, I have only had 1 issues in over 3 years and that was a connection problem, all I did was unplug my base and plug it back in and everything was up and running perfect again lol. Knock on wood. Can't say I've had any other device that connects and communicates wirelessly on my property that is more reliable than my Tempest. I initially purchased it for the accuracy and no moving parts. I believe it was relatively new when I purchased in early 2021 so I purchased with the expectation of bugs, software glitches, and inconsistent connections. Beyond Impressed to say the least, I could go on and on but just know, I installed the tempest and haven't messed with it in 3 years other than resetting the base 1 time in those 3 years and and we have some pretty gnarly weather in Bama

Head to Head against DAVIS AND SO IMPRESSED

I bought the Tempest system to take the place of my aging Davis system. After 20+ years of service, I am not willing to spend 3K to replace the one I have.

So, enter the Tempest system. Excellent, easy setup. WITHIN MINUTES.

After 24 hours of operation, I can happily report the Tempest System is within +/-2 degrees of temperature, within +/- 1-2 mph wind, within +/- 0.10 inHg of Barometer, and within +/- 3% of humidity FOR 7.5% of the PRICE OF A DAVIS SYSTEM.

I am impressed and looking forward to the first rainfall with this new system to see how close it comes to DAVIS and the standalone COCORAHS rain gauge I use daily.

If there were one feature of DAVIS I would request of TEMPEST? It would be the ability to upload information to other websites such as AWEKAS, CWOP, WEATHERCLOUD, etc. For the time being since the DAVIS is still operational, this is not a showstopper.

After seeing a Tempest in two nearby yards, I invested in this technology in order to more clearly understand local weather. So far, the Tempest station is exceeding expectations (and provides comparable data to the other two neighbouring Tempest units).

I learned from one neighbour that the Tempest will likely need a power boost during the rainy/snowy season here on the “Sunshine Coast” (north of the 49th parallel). That accessory should be bundled with the unit for northern locations.

Since forest fire smoke is a potential hazard here on the coast, I hope that additional data channels (PM 2.5, PM 10 etc) can be added to the Tempest station so that this excellent weather station can include air quality parameters.
